Perceptions
Hi, everyone. Today I want to talk about perceptions. I think this is
important for you
and me both to have a clarification of how
important it is that a ‘renewed mindset’ be
established if success is important enough. Yes, I do believe that, if I never become
rich I am happy today. Money will not make you happy; there are responsibilities’ that
come with having money, new associates, and new friends. Losses you never thought
of come up. These things cause us to self-sabotage ourselves. For example, do I, lose
the friend because they cannot stand our success and belittling our efforts.
Your goals change and everything around you is a new experience and it can be
frightening. Knowledge of these things and planning for them will reduce this self-
sabotage but not eliminate it. See it, plan for it. I think it is
important to cover
emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects of an individual if you want to become
successful. It takes the whole of you to succeed. To balance time with loved ones, time
alone, and rest.

I want to share a story with you real quick before we move on. ………

“Are you familiar with the story about Socrates where a young man came to him near a
lake and asked Socrates to teach him how to acquire wisdom?  [No! Well…] Socrates
grabbed the man and plunged his head under the water.  As the young man struggled
for his life, Socrates continued to forcibly hold him under the water.  Finally, Socrates
let him up to breathe, and when the man, gasping for breath, asked why Socrates
nearly drowned him, Socrates replied, “When your desire for wisdom is as great as
your desire to breathe, then you will find wisdom.” (Pavlina, 2008)

So, let’s do some emotional conversion here. This can be true about success. I quoted
this story because it is so powerful to me. How when your need for motivation comes
from the need to survive you will do what it takes to live. Therefore, needs must be
strong enough to drive you to do it; and then you were motivated and no need to
motivate you. So are under water, or are you really to breathe.

Let’s talk about motivation from a academic point a view, for a moment. Motivation
equals need or intrinsic (internal and inherent) motivation. No need, therefore, no true
intrinsic motivation. However, extrinsic (external) motivation comes from consequences
or desires of others. This in turn does not make you retentive to the behavior if
consequences are removed. Needs must be the main reason to motivate someone to
retain intrinsic motivation and retention in behavior. I have not failed at becoming rich
physically, it will come in time; however, I am rich in spiritual and emotionally balancing
out, after five years of therapy, I feel a form of spiritual maintenance.

Belief systems also play a role in decisions in your life. If you believe you do not
deserve to succeed, no matter how hard you try you will not succeed. You get in your
own way, by blaming others for not helping you, interfering in your goals, and who is
really to blame? You are. You let them cross boundaries with you. You do not
establish rules of friendships or engagement, in relationships around you. You cannot
control other people, their behaviors, or their perceptions.

You can only influence their decisions, but ultimately they decide what is right for them.
You do control whether and how you interact with other people. Yes, including family.
Once you leave home you do not have to continue family ties unless you want to. You
can limit contact. You have a choice to let family continue to be positive influence or
negative influence. You are not breaking any laws if you walk away from the people
around you ‘who are stepping on your heart’ ♥ (quote from a child I met in Ohio,
thanks Kelly). Enough said on that subject.

Back to Business
Now before you do anything online, get a 3 ring notebook or spiral notebook. You will
lose track of what you are doing otherwise. Which companies you are interested in,
which ones you signed up for and why. I use the front to make my to-do-list and flip to
the back and each time I add a site I write the information down about that site.
What have I done this week?         I joined Work-From-Home Data Entry (here is their
link).
https://paydotcom.com/r/15630/2funnyone/1155076/   (Do not go there yet! Wait
to buy, let me work it first.)
Review: I found this extraordinarily helpful. Between school and this site I think I
understand the internet better. Here is a illustration of what I have learned this past
year.

There is more to be said about this program. The instructions are well laid-out for you.
They include transcription training, typing content, and affiliate marketing for their
products and others. There is a one time fee and do not regret paying it. The
resources are wonderful; thumbs up for this founder, for excellent instructions. Now will
I make any money, we will see.

They use PayDotCom.com, which I joined (here is their link). http://
paydotcom.net/?
affiliate=289040 This website is not very user friendly; however, Work-From-Home
Data Entry has detailed instructions in their program. This was not a waste of my
money. Do not get me wrong. I have some e-books that are excellent information;
however, this site makes these e-books worth something to me, again.

I can now go on Yahoo and build a new website, myself, and promote these e-books,
my merchandise in stock because I know how to promote them. Now I need to learn a
program that uploads them to the website. I am finally learning marketing skills online.
Now I have to fine tune them. The strangest thing, how I started this site and found that
site so soon after. I have been reading websites and e-books plus going to school
online I might add or remind you. I hope this works. So are you still with me. Hurray, I
hate going on journeys alone.

Oh I promised the 1000 No’s to success. Ok, I’ll tell you a little more.
I made a form up. The top of the sheet had my goal: Pay a small travel trailer from an
owner on payments. The objectives here is to shop from ads or drive around and find
travel trailers for sale by the owner.
You get a tour of the traveler and if you like it make an offer. If asked why you did not
get a loan state you do not want too. Need to know, in other words they do not need to
know anything more about you, period. I will explain why later; if they accept your
payment plan with or without a down payment, great.
Try offering to make 3 to 6 payments before picking the merchandise up. I bought a
car like that, because they saw regular payments then they let me have the car. Get it
in writing. There many various offers you can make. Ask them what they would be
willing to take.
If you hear no, DO NOT PUSH… check off your another ‘no’ and go to the next person
and ask them, and so on. You will be surprised how little ‘No’s’ you hear before ‘Yes’.

Till Next time:
Got to go study, take notes, and do my college homework. More to come next week…..
