Hello Everyone, June 21, 2008
Review last week: Read about having faith in self, this is the first place to start see Issue 9. An
excellent self-relationship is the key. If you want to have your own online business you have to
believe that you will succeed by reading, learning, and studying. I write about the things you

This Week: Faith, Potential Customers, Traffic, ad board, JV in July, and Recommendations.
Faith in your self helps you set limits or excellent boundaries so people do not take
advantage of you. This gives you back control over your life and home environment. I found at
one time I wanted to help people but I let them move in. Now I find them a place to stay as quickly
as possible, but never with me anymore. I show them how to find aid and advocate for
themselves.
I try to affirm their effects are not in vein. I tell people they are a seed in the ground of life. As we go through
life we have to fight the forces just like the seed forges through the ground, rock, stone, granite, other roots,
fight off insects, etc. These conditions vary depending on the location we were planted. There are times life is
easy and other times we are forces to fight obstacles that we think are we can not get around or move.
Be a strong seed have faith in yourself and you will find a way to the surface. You are forgeable
quality material. “We were forging through a narrow passage, rock-lined, and tube-like.” Quote
by Edgar Rice Burroughs ‘The Gods of Mars’. Life is a challenge for all things that want to live.
Finding faith within us gives us the strength, power, and energy of an unstoppable forging force.
Therefore control of your thinking of the situations and the way you look at events is a key factor
in this faith factor. All obstacles’ are now only material in nature and can be gotten around or
moved. Do you see?
Learning About Internet Traffic or Potential Customers
In offline business if you own a store, people drive by see your store and may stop to brow or
buy your merchandise. To find more potential customers, you advertise in newspapers, weekly
publications, magazines, through the mail, in the yellow pages which is called direct marketing.
You hope individuals recommend your store or products to others which is called word-of-mouth
advertising. You offer sales to draws customers in.
In online business world, if you build a website you do not have the option of drive byes; even
though a website site is considered cyber real estate. There is no real yellow pages online. The
search engines are as close as you will get; however, there is no real order in search engine
searches like alphabetical listings. There is no search engine by city or state either. It is more of
a popularity contest. You placed in the order of popularity if at all. When I start a new site I am
lucky if I can find my site by keyword searches ever. I put mega tags on my site that are relevant
but there are so many sites now days and the competition is getting larger.
People argue over what types of advertising methods are the best. I do not think that is a key
factor. Do not get me wrong it is a factor. I think learning the market and finding pin-pointed
targeted traffic is the key.
Free traffic sites, safe list, and an excellent subject line goes along way. Direct and to the point
emails with some hype is good. You have to learn balance. The problem we face today is people
have to adjust to the email format. I personally like sites that have text-ad formats, I just wish they
had a classification list for me. I would like to see more merchandise listed in text-ad format. May
be that should be my next project, a place people can run text-ads for merchandise rather than
auction sites. They could run an ad for a month and promote one product or two to draw
customers in. I get tired of just reading about business promo in these sites. To bad text-ads do
not include a picture. Hey that would be a good one.
I pay monthly to several sites that I can run ads everyday as many as I want, I just have to
remember the rules of posting to these sites.

Another problem is people are afraid of getting 10,000 e-mails in one day. I am not. I buy large
newspapers and find 10,000 classified ads because I want the adversity of that paper. I do not of
course read every ad in every issue. So why should I limit my email, I do not limit my mail. I have
an e-mail address that my friends, family, and work can reach me on that is Spam blocked in
coming e-mail must be approved, etc. I love being about to zip through and pick what I want to
read for the day. I wish people were direct in their e-mails and splash pages. The long draw out
pages bore me.
