Who am I?
Good question, I am creative, funny, intelligent, and like you, I want to make money on
the Internet. I am a returning college student, in my 50’s, I have obtained my
associates degree in business and I am currently working on my bachelors in
behavioral science. I go to school by accessing the Internet, online distance learning, I
find it convenient as I live in a rural community. I work part-time merchandising, data
collection, and audits. I have been in therapy for five years for Post-Traumatic Stress
disorder from childhood events, assault by both men and women, and out-dated
coping skills. I over came addictions five years ago today, so if I can do this, so can
you.
So why am I doing this?
That’s another, good question. I find that I have questions I cannot find the answers
easily or readily about the foundation of Internet businesses, the secrets. For example,
how to set up the system and let the machines do the work, ‘automation’. I do not know
how to build a list of email addresses online and automate it. I do not know how to load
.doc files or .pdf files so that individuals that want to read my research can. I feel there
is a need for this information, described in detail how to set it up. Instructions are not
included in most programs that I can understand easily. I want step-by-step easy to
follow instructions. Definitions of terms, like what is the difference of POP in the aisle
and a POP at the register. Now this goes back to direct marketing, offline. Which, I will
get back to later, in another article.
Goals
I have several goals in mind here. I want to express to you that learning about the
Internet has not been easy, I want to give up, do not get me wrong, I am not giving up,
I am just starting really to live; I also want to help others that might be giving up. I am
not going to give up till I make a business on the Internet. I want to offer assistance
(through my research), to start your own business, provide encouragement, and
change my prospective or perception of the challenge. That is why I started ‘Track-My-
Journey’ for myself, my encouragement, and my motivation to keep going.
I really like quotes, send me one, love to read it. Does not subscribe you!
My Rules
I have my own rules about the project, research papers I do, and selling products,
however, I do not want to take someone’s money and be of no help, or not give them a
good product. I want to guarantee a refund if not satisfied with the product in the end,
no matter whether I am selling e-books, real books, or other types of merchandise. On
that note, any research papers will be in APA format since I am in school, I will include
my references and documentation, because it is what I am use to doing.
Failures or misses or educational learning tools

I do not make regular monthly income online, yet. Yes, I said, “Yet”. I did have a
website for a year, advertised with Google, Yahoo, free sites, and others. My site was
designed by Website Pros (costly), and they put me on the search engines, I had a
store front (costly), I had banner exposure, a merchant account (costly), and graphic
tracking of hits. I hit 3,000 visitors in one month with record sales ‘zero’ yes ‘zip zero’.
In one year I sold three items on my website, to a friend, one family member, and to
someone I did not know. I still have a house full of unsold products.
Successes
What things have worked for me were auctions, that had items like mine, easy to
duplicate, and loaded in the system; for example, amazon.com, fee paid after sale.
Sales are slow, but real sales. Note: my friends have sold their old books and
textbooks on amazon.com, quickly. EBay was not for me, I am not saying eBay does
not work, but I paid out more in fees than I ever made. I cannot forget therapy, what a
grand, wonderful, and hard journey this is.
I like auction-warehouse.com too, no fees, right now; I have sold items at Christmas. I
am trying to learn how to word my product’s promotional description better, to increase
sales. Then I will try loading them again on auction-warehouse.com. For advertising, I
find Yahoo to be the best for newcomers, set your prepaid budget, no surprise bills.
No, I do not get paid for advertising, these companies or you would find links to them.
In fact, for now it is free advertising for anyone I talk about. You know the highlighted
and underlined links you click and it takes you there. C. S. Lewis (free link to his
quotes), I love quotes; they are excellent affirmations for me. So I say to you, ponder
this one, but not to long.
This idea
I thought of this idea ‘Track-my-Journey’ because the internet is so massive, people do
not know where to start. I have been researching marketing for years. I have at times
saved all the junk mail to learn from it. I have watched and read of companies going up
and coming down. I figure individual’s can learn from my failures and successes,
without spending a fortune themselves on products, or time on research, that I am
doing.
Upcoming Issues
‘No’ is word we have heard from very young and will continue to hear. So the challenge
here is now many ‘No’s’ does it take before success. Coming soon. 1000 ‘No’s’ to
Success, a formula I have used for years to the word ‘No’. I want to hear ‘No’ because I
am challenged to rethink my thoughts. No persuading them into changing their mind.
People feel comfortable with my decisions, and I get what I want.
